Meet and Engage is a fantastic platform. The chat system is so easy to use which means it’s really simple to conduct a chat with potential candidates whilst sat at home or in the office. In a recent chat, one of our participants even complimented how good the system is and said that more companies should be using it! We use the platform right across our hiring areas. For graduates we use it to chat about specific programmes but we also run sessions to help them be their best at interview or assessment centre. We also use chat for our retail stores and call centres, keeping candidates engaged before assessment or at other key stages.

As a business, we’re always looking for fresh ways to deliver, whether that’s in terms of candidate experience or the stakeholder experience for our hiring community and this is an innovative way of doing that.

We have been blown away by the success of the chats for experienced hires. We invite sourced or talent pooled candidates to meet with us online. We’ve had great turn-outs for hard to recruit roles like project and programme management and cyber security professionals. We were really impressed with the levels of engagement and the quality of the questions. At Vodafone we’re committed to better ways of working and creating this kind of impact with candidates with something as quick to deploy as chat is a smart approach.

We have used the platform for real-time candidate engagement for our graduate programme. We have a new process including a situational judgement tool, designed in collaboration with our current graduates and we’re using chat to help candidates understand more about this. We’ve also made some changes to our schemes so use the forum as a Q&A, helping them to understand more about us and supporting them through the decision making process.

The chat technology reflects our brand and we worked closely with our creative recruitment partner Sparks to include other interesting content, like video. Amberjack manage our process and candidate experience and have been instrumental in managing the chat process and ensuring we have the right audience on each chat. The Meet and Engage team, who design and manage the technology have worked seamlessly with all of us. A great team effort!

Talent Meet Up has been an invaluable tool in allowing us to continue to build on the relationships developed with candidates we have met on campus, as well as engage with individuals at campuses that we have been unable to visit. This enables us to provide a greater insight into the company and our Graduate and Internship programmes. It’s really easy for candidates to log onto a chat from home or on the move.

Talent Meet Up has provided a great source of feedback on how we position our programmes. Feedback from one chat helped us to think about how we describe certain programmes and we’re planning in further chats in this area.

The system has been extremely easy to use and the support provided by the team is excellent with a number of walk-through sessions as well as support available when the events are taking place. Additionally responses to queries have been quick and the team readily share their knowledge on how to attract and improve the delivery of events.

Overall I have found this an absolutely excellent addition to our candidate attraction and engagement strategy
